20th August 2015 saw David meet with Liam and best man Roy at The Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon for a few wedding photos as they prepared for the wonderful day ahead. David caught them checking their speeches and also captured an iconic Landmark Hotel photograph of the pair of them in front of the huge boardwalk image, very cool! Sinead and Marguerite were enjoying a relaxed morning and ready to put on their dresses as David arrived.
Stunningly abundant bouquets in shades of white and bursts of texture were delightful to photograph and added extra interest to the wedding photographs throughout the day. The flower girl carried an unusual bouquet of tightly packed pale green carnations creating a simple dome of soft ruffles. Keadue Church where Sinead and Liam’s ceremony took place is a favourite with us here at the studio. A tall stone arched doorway dressed with milk churns and topiary greeted everyone on arrival and a cute tandem bike was to hand for a quick getaway. In true O’Carolan fashion Sinead and Liam had chosen a harpist to play during their ceremony.

The doorway at Keadue church allows David to capture one of the seminal wedding photographs in his repertoire, a silhouette of the couple looking out to the future. A hop, skip and a jump brought the wedding party to Lough Meelagh where a pair of swans resides and welcome couples adding an extra touch of romanticism to wedding photos.
Green patchwork hillsides flow down towards the lake where a shimmering edge of reeds skirts the undulating shoreline. The pontoon allows for couples and wedding party to walk out into the lake and surround themselves in fabulous Irish landscape. The Landmark Hotel was the final destination for the day and guests were eagerly awaiting the couple’s arrival. The hotels offers couples the use of the Upper Lobby affording privacy for gathering group for wedding photos and a relaxation zone before the fun of the celebrations begin.
