Ruth Gilmartin and Jonathan Moffatt – 23rd October 2015

A great day began with wedding photos taken early morning at the groom’s house on the 23^rd of October 2015. Lots of fun and an odd glass raised as the guys got ready. But off to the bride’s home where Ruby and Ava were helping their mum. Ruth’s wore a beautiful beaded chiffon gown and her girls matched in white with small bouquets of a single blush pink rose surrounded by baby chrysanthemums.

A wonderful morning of wedding photography capturing all the preparation. At St.Joseph’s Church in Leitrim Village family and guests were gathered. St.Joesph’s is a lovely simple church where the bride enters at the back but from the side, this allows the stunning stained glass windows to from the backdrop for this iconic of wedding photos… the bride escorted and her father as they come down the aisle.

With the ceremony over, meet and greet completed it was back into the church for family group wedding photographs. Groups with up to four generations made for fine photos which are very precious for families to have. The last set of photos taken before Ruth and Jonathan left the church were some of David’s favourite shots. Taken from inside the church and with the doorway framing the couple the gentle light gave delightful tones. Ruth’s veil came into its own as there was space to extend it to its fullest and show the amazing lace that decorated it at the very end.

Arriving at Castle Dargan Hotel the couple and their wedding party spent time with David in Castle Dargan House where the staircase and balcony above allow for many variations of group wedding photos. Friends group photographed and time to mingle and chat to guests opened up opportunity for lots of social and personal photos of those attending the wedding. A spectacular wooden water wheel made for a new take on the Sweet Table.
