All the male members of the wedding party wore black tie with a twist, cool dark suits with satin detailing and pewter dickie bows except for John whose dickie bow was black with delicate small white dots.
With not too much distance between where Niamh and John were getting ready for their wedding day David was able to call to the guys first on the 4th September 2015. All the male members of the wedding party wore black tie with a twist, cool dark suits with satin detailing and pewter dickie bows except for John whose dickie bow was black with delicate small white dots. A great modern take on a classical look which was delightful in their wedding photos.
The ladies had their timing spot on and with bridesmaids and flower girls ready, David could swing into action. Perfect circlets in their hair and baskets of flowers to carry the flower girls very nearly stole the show. But not quite! Niamh wore a stunning lace gown and fabulous rich blue shoes. Her bridesmaids wore soft silk jersey in pewter with each having a different style to the top of the dress. This wonderful touch allows each personality to come through in wedding photography.

St Mary’s Church in Athlone offers lots of space and comfort for a wedding party and has magnificent high arched windows. The arched stone doorway with beautiful metalwork was the perfect place to capture Niamh and John as they emerged as Husband and wife. It was off down to the shore of the River Shannon next for wedding party photos. Athlone town straddles the river joined by a deep arched stone bridge. Downriver a wide weir controls the water creating three different directions of flow and a magical backdrop for wedding photos.
Mature trees line pathways through the adjoining park where David photographed Niamh and John as they took a few minutes to relax and enjoy a short stroll. The Sheraton in Athlone where Niamh and John had chosen to celebrate their wedding day has lots to offer couples. A spectacular two storey Bridal Suite with incredible views and a wonderful roof garden terrace that offers privacy and a great location for group wedding photos.
