Heart shaped chalk boards, signposts, teddy bears and my favourite Scrabble tiles reading ‘LOVE’ with Martina’s engagement ring as the ‘O’.
Purple was definitely the colour of the day on 21st August 2015. Fabulous colour co-ordination flowed throughout adding wonderful continuity and context to the wedding photography. Heart shaped chalk boards, signposts, teddy bears and my favourite Scrabble tiles reading ‘LOVE’ with Martina’s engagement ring as the ‘O’. Beautiful bouquets were created by using smaller scaled flowers and lots of texture and also even herbs included to add an extra wow factor. A sign seen just before leaving Martina’s home read:
Family We talk together …We laugh together
We share our lives together
Tall lanterns and cherry blossom dressed the entrance to the church where David met with Andrew and the guys before the ceremony. The Church of St.Mary in Gorthaganny offers a simple but delightful backdrop for wedding photographs and on the 21st August it was just the perfect size for Martina and Andrew’s guests with every space taken. David took all the family group photos at the church leaving the rest of the afternoon for everyone to enjoy and celebrate.

With guest on their way to Kilronan Castle Martina, Andrew and their wedding party stopped off at Lough Meelagh. This location never fails to offer a stunning landscape for wedding photos. The lightest of breeze, high fluffy clouds and gentle ripples making their way across the lake created a perfect setting and fabulous wedding photographs were captured in one of our favourite spots.
On the far shore of the lake Kilronan Castle was peeking up above the woods beckoning everyone to come together and celebrate. Just as the avenue leaves the woodland Kilronan Castle comes into view and a quick stop produces an iconic photograph with the lawns sweeping up to the castle above on the hill. Another favourite of our clients is to the front left of the castle looking back up at the front and eastern façades which captures the main tower and flagpole. Samantha warmly greeted Martina and Andrew on their arrival and the amazing care Kilronan Castle take of their guests and wedding couples quietly came into play.
