The linear patterns of the wooden walkway merged into tasselled textures of the bleached reed beds, all softly camouflaged by nature’s determination to reclaim.
Pink Bicycles … beautifully set with baskets of flowers, these were some of our favourite wedding signs of 2016. What a delightful way to direct people on your wedding day and how easy was it for wedding photographer Jim Schofield to find Maria’s house on 8th October 2016! The ladies were getting ready in a delightful room with high ceilings and deep windows, perfect for wedding photography. Very pretty pink and white were beautifully offset with delicate silver foliage creating gorgeous bouquets. Maria and Rory’s ceremony was held at Ballinaheglish, Oran, Co. Roscommon. This is a lovely simple church with striking tiled floors and exposed wooden roof structure. A charming element of the ceremony was the groom’s family bible which had played a part in weddings for the family for many generations.

Wedding Photos along the River Suck
Rory and Maria chose a location, for wedding photos, which held strong context in their lives. A cute wooden boardwalk brought them out to the banks of the River Suck. A favourite fishing spot, the meandering river flowed gently by offering lush green pools of contrast to the golden autumnal light. The linear patterns of the wooden walkway merged into the tasselled textures of the bleached reed beds, all softly camouflaged by nature’s determination to reclaim. A beautiful spot offering fabulous photos and little bit of timeout on their wedding day. At The Abbey Hotel friends had gathered to welcome Rory and Maria at the entrance. A lovely gesture that does not happen often enough. The Abbey Hotel looks wonderful with a little brightening in the area of the spectacular staircase. A subtle change but definitely a good one. It is one of the finest staircases in the area for wedding photos.
