WOW… What a wonderful start to 2017 weddings! … Beautiful clear blue skies, a still January morning and an amazing day of wedding photography ahead. Laughter and fun tinkled through the house as the ladies enjoyed the preparations. Lucy had brought her gorgeous dress with her from Australia, the finest of embroidered and beaded lace over layers of delicate tulle and the sheerest of veils allowing the pretty detail to show through. Lucy wore her long blonde hair gently brought back into a loose plait with flowers woven through. A high balcony overlooking high windows offered an ideal location for photos of the bride before leaving for the ceremony. David moved ahead of the bridal party to meet Jason at Annebrook Hotel in Mullingar. A majestic flight of stone steps (flanked with wrought iron bannisters and dressed with deep red carpet) leads up to the door of the Annebrook Hotel creating a real sense of occasion and offers lots of opportunity for excellent photographs. Lucy and Jason held their ceremony in a luxuriously draped and delightfully lit the room at the hotel.

Wedding Photos @ Belvedere House and Annebrook Hotel
As their guests relaxed at the Annebrook; Lucy, Jason and their wedding party drove out to Belvedere House. The sky was shimmering with rose gold light creating a magical glow which added an amazing extra dimension to their wedding photos. Wide stone steps dropping from terrace to terrace lead the eye out over the water of Lough Ennell and a dramatic landscape beyond. While in the interiors of the house the tall columned windows and elegant rooms afford a backdrop of warmth and colour. Back at the Annebrook Hotel and time for some photos of Lucy and Jason in the gazebo just as sunset and the fairy lights came into their own. The dinner bell had rung and it was time for the couple to join their guests for dinner. Interestingly Lucy and Jason chose to have their parents sit next to them at the tope table, something we don’t see very often here in Ireland but it felt very inclusive.
