Dusky skies and calm water made for a spectacular backdrop for wedding photography .
A wonderful garden at Rose Cottage brought the camera into action before David had even crossed the threshold on the morning of Laura and David’s wedding. The ladies had still to get into their dresses and both the brides and all the bridesmaids dresses had lacing to be done up. Lacing is a beautiful detail the camera loves it. Even the Christmas tree was stunningly wrapped with red and white sheer ribbon. With no wind there was opportunity for group wedding photos in the garden before David (photographer) left to meet David (groom) at Christ the King Church, Lisacul. Time for photos of the groom with his family and then with the groomsmen before Laura arrived. A fabulous floral arch marked the entrance to the aisle. A charming ceremony was followed by a meet and greet at the door and then family photos in the warmth and comfort of the church.

Wedding Photos @ The Hodson Bay Hotel
Christmas weddings always have to take light into consideration and Laura and David decided to go straight to The Hodson Bay Hotel and get wedding photos along the shore of Lough Ree. The ladies wrapped up warm in furry wraps, white for the bride and silver/grey to accessories the bridesmaids coral dresses. Dusky skies and calm water made for a spectacular backdrop for wedding photography and a stroll back to the hotel by way of the harbour created a contrasting location. A quick visit to check out the function room and a cake cutting shot and then it was time for Laura and David to relax and mingle with their guests. A few last important family photos as guests were seating for dinner and then it was time for the happy couple to make their entrance to the ballroom. A delicious meal and an amazing night of celebration ahead.
