The girls were still in their beautiful pale blue robes when wedding photographer David Knight arrived to capture the story of the first of our August 2015 weddings. Karen was ready to step into her gorgeous off the shoulder lace gown which she accessorised with a stunning silver heirloom bouquet. Cathal and the boys were enjoying a relaxing pint at Keenan’s bar where David joined them for pre-wedding photos before they made their way to the church. The Church of the Sacred Heart at Whitehall is very eye catching with high decorative gilded stencil work and a stunning entrance of warm toned wood and beautiful stained glass panels. Family and friends supplied glorious music throughout the ceremony in a church filled with a wonderful atmosphere of celebration. As guests made their way to The Hodson Bay Hotel Karen, Cathal and their wedding party first ventured down to the Lock on the River Shannon. Deep dark water, lush Irish landscape and the stunning structural elements of the lock gates created a spectacular backdrop for wedding photographs.

Our Ladies Grotto, created by renowned sculptor Michael Casey from large pieces of limestone taken from the local weir, offered a dramatic setting for wedding photos before a quick visit to Keenan’s Bar. Always fun, a wedding photograph of a bride pulling her new husbands first pint is a guaranteed wedding album shot. The lake at The Hudson Bay and guests awaited as a great night of celebration lay ahead.
