Ita Carrigan and Damien McHugh – 22nd December 2015

Champagne and gold brought instant celebration to Ita and Damien’s wedding photography. Ita’s home was sparkling with happiness and laughter as David arrived on the 22^nd December 2015 to capture a magical day full with fabulous photographic opportunities. Cool brown paper bags, printed with each bridesmaid’s initial and a big satin bow, stunningly hid their gifts. The three bags made for a delightful photo that will add extra personality to Ita and Damien’s wedding album.  Classical, elegant white silk duchess satin for the bride and soft champagne satin and lace for the bridesmaids brought together with Christmas bouquets of red and white roses interspersed with textures of berries and thistles.

Not to be outdone, Damien chose a suit of navy Donegal tweed and wore a black velvet waistcoat beneath. Very cool! A slight twist on a classical theme that stood out really well in their wedding photos. Ita and Damien married at St.Patrick’s Church, Holywell, Belcoo, Co.Fermanagh. The church at Holywell is charming with some sections of exposed stone wall and light marble floor, on the day it was a perfect fit for Ita and Damien’s guests and a great backdrop for their wedding photos. Low winter light threw a shaft of golden sunlight down onto the couple as they wed.   Arriving to Lough Rynn the last of the afternoon sunshine was bathing the lower terraces of the walled garden with rose gold light. The bridesmaid’s dresses took on a whole other life again, the champagne tones holding the sunlight in the wedding photography. Just one of the magical moments that was spectacularly captured. Lough Rynn during the Christmas season is in a world of its own, there is no better place for wedding photography. At dusk the warm glow of interior lights shining out through the magnificent tall mullioned windows show the building in a very special way creating one of our favourite backdrops for a couple’s wedding photographs.
