Emer wore a stunning gown with beaded shoulder pieces and beautifully place lace as it flowed to the floor
With both Emer and Karl getting ready at Kilronan Castle their wedding photographer David Knight had lots of opportunity to capture magic moments from the morning of their wedding. Although there is always an emphasis on the bride (in the morning) it is wonderful to be able to catch the guys before they leave for the church. Emer and the ladies enjoyed the luxurious surroundings of the bridal suite with Hair and Make-up artists in attendance. The warm but neutral tones of the bridal suite are a delight for wedding photos with the stunning red and gold dressed four-poster bed is the perfect backdrop for a wedding dress.

Emer wore a stunning gown with beaded shoulder pieces and beautifully place lace as it flowed to the floor. Lavender is popular this season with the bridesmaid’s dresses being matched by the guy’s socks, adding a lovely quirky touch. The drive from Kilronan Castle to the church in Keadue is one of the shortest but also one of the prettiest in the country as it winds its way along the shore of Lough Meelagh. A glazed insertion at the entrance to the church offers shelter when need and also provides interesting reflections especially from interior lights, all adding to the wedding photography for Emer and Karl.
Guests were greeted with delicious ice-cream from a 1921 Ice Cream Bike from HighNelly services, a wonderful surprise and a great prop for the couples wedding photographs. For very special wedding photos the wedding party stopped in at the shore of Lough Meelagh where the water had just the faintest hint of a ripple and reflected images shimmered off the surface. Back to Kilronan Castle a magnificent backdrop in its own right, David suggested Karl and Emer stroll down under the copse of mature rhododendron. Twisting red trunks create interesting textures and unusual warmth images which sit fabulously in wedding albums. So many exceptional locations to choose from at Kilronan Castle, the French salon style of the Robert Genders room or the high wooden ceiling with spectacular chandelier high above reception, deep arched mullion windows and the awesome luxury of the bridal suite all help make for exceptional wedding photography.
