Interspersed with the vertical white trunks of the silver birch trees the garden is a fantastic setting for wedding photography.
It was delightful to meet up with familiar faces again at Eimear’s home place on the morning of her wedding on 4th November 2016. It is a great honour to be asked to photograph the sister of a previous bride. Everyone was enjoying the morning’s preparations and there were lots of intriguing details to photograph. A lovely heart shaped silver ring box really took the camera’s fancy. Aubergine, ivory and autumnal colours gave a wonderful seasonal touch to Eimear and Shane’s wedding day. Garlands of autumnal foliage decorated lanterns outside the church and made for a spectacular presence on tall candelabras, by Bouquets 2Banquets of Belturbet, dressing the aisle. Eimear and Shane married at St Mogue’s Church in Bawnboy, Co.Cavan. Opened in 1979 the modern layout of St.Mogue’s allows all guests to be gathered around a couple before a beautiful handcrafted wooden altar with clerestory windows all around.

Autumnal Wedding Photos @ Slieve Russell Hotel
The Slieve Russell Hotel is always an impressive building but winter weddings get something extra special. Arriving in time to wander the gardens allowed Eimear and Shane to get wedding photos within the fabulous colourful foliage that borders the pathways. Interspersed with the vertical white trunks of the silver birch trees the garden is a fantastic setting for wedding photography. With images captured at the fountains just before the light dropped there was opportunity to revisit them again later. At night underwater lighting creates magical plumes of bubbling textures with the façade of the hotel, dressed with the dramatic colours of Virginia creeper, creating a perfect backdrop for dramatic wedding photos before re-joining guests for dinner.
