Sligo Cathedral is spectacular from the moment one sets eyes on it. Deep curved archways with gilded mosaic above entice everyone to enter and give hints of the awesome interiors
The day of wedding photography always gets off to an excellent start when both the Bride and Groom are enjoying the luxury and fine service of Kilronan Castle in North Roscommon. Charlotte and Alexander had flown in from Washington DC for their ceremony in Sligo Cathedral and celebrations afterwards at Kilronan Castle. The ease of preparation at Kilronan Castle also affords a couple’s wedding photographer the access to both families and lots of wonderful opportunities to capture magical moments. Charlotte wore a gown of lace over the softly draping silk crepe and her raven hair was gently drawn back to tumble down her back accessorized with a stunning beaded piece just perfectly proportioned to her flowing locks. Alexander and all the male members of the wedding party wore dashing black-tie.

Sligo Cathedral is spectacular from the moment one sets eyes on it. Deep curved archways with gilded mosaic above entice everyone to enter and give hints of the awesome interiors. One of the most spectacular aisles in the country with beautiful tiled floor leads a bride to the altar, truly a moment to remember and an entrance like no other. The cathedral though a large space still maintained an intimacy for Charlotte and Alexander’s family and friends with the warmth of colour and gold work over which tower the magnificent stained glass windows. Sligo Cathedral was stunning setting for both the ceremony and family wedding photos before all enjoyed a drive through the Irish countryside on the way south to Kilronan Castle. As guests made their way to the castle, Charlotte and Alexander travelled to the far side of the lake for wedding photos set in the Irish landscape with Lough Meelagh backed by the Arigna Mountains and Kilronan Castle just peeking out above the western shore.
A pair of swans glided up to join the couple as they made their way out along the jetty and surrounded themselves by the lush scenery full of texture and interest. Just three minute’s driving returned Charlotte and Alexander back to Kilronan Castle where they were met by their wedding party for some more group shots. David knows all the special locations at Kilronan Castle which allows best use of time and fabulous wedding photography. Making a spectacular entrance into the function room David left everyone to enjoy a splendid meal and a joyous evening of entertainment.
