The tall stone walls and steep drop into still dark water creates layers of contrast while the view beneath the bridge hints at another landscape beyond.
David dropped in to Alan’s home place, for some great casual shots, before heading up to Manorhamilton. Johanna home was very relaxed with preparations well underway. She wore a stunning dress of beautifully draping crepe with fabulous cut away embroidered detail from Padanee. A perfect dress for a perfect day and a delight to photograph! Johanna’s bridesmaids wore burgundy and all the wedding flowers (from Eden Flowers) were white and cream. Simply classical with a touch of contemporary. David met up with Alan again at The Church of the Annunciation in Mullies. The male members of the wedding party wore two shades of grey with the groomsmen wearing a lighter grey and Alan wearing a charcoal grey suit with lighter waistcoat. Again a modern touch on a classical look. The church at Mullies sits in a delightful location overlooking the hills of north Leitrim and was full to the door for Johanna and Alan’s wedding ceremony. Jessica and Callum (flower girl and pageboy) made the perfect entrance holding hands as they led the ladies up the aisle. A really charming ceremony was filled with wonderful music from a group of excellent musicians made up of family and friends.

Wedding Photos @ Lough Allen and The Landmark Hotel
A quick stop at Glenade Lake for photos of just the bride and groom before the wedding party pulled in at the canal lock and jetty on Lough Allen at Drumshambo. Big wider views across the lake make for dramatic backgrounds for wedding photos while the area around the lock offers a more sheltered and textured backdrop. The tall stone walls and steep drop into still dark water creates layers of contrast while the view through the arch of the bridge hints at another landscape beyond. David took the opportunity to play with the different heights and perspectives this charming location has to offer. The Landmark in Carrick-on-Shannon was the final destination of the day. The Landmark Hotel has been awarded Ireland’s Waterside Wedding Venue of the Year 2017. Johanna and Alan enjoyed the warmest of welcome in the Upper Lounge giving them a few minutes to relax and enjoy a glass of champagne before joining the guests.
