Sligo Abbey – High arches and dramatic perspectives along with some of the most attractive cloisters in Ireland are perfect for creating fantastic imagery for Wedding Albums.
The 12th of November was an amazing day of autumnal wedding photography for Jessica and Michael’s special day. With gorgeous flowers from Feehily’s Flowers, deep purples and burnt oranges were interspersed with bronze leaves, berries and budding twigs. The flowers gave wonderful punch to their photos. The staircase at Jessica’s family home were elaborately decorated with beautiful draped voile, pretty fairy lights and delicate posies offering a movie style set for bridal wedding photos. The scalloped lace neckline of Jessica’s stunning dress perfectly skimmed her shoulders and the sunny conservatory was a brilliant location for a classical full-length photo of the bride. You would never have guessed it was mid-November.
Jessica and Michael married at Carraroe church. Late in the year the sun was low in the sky and light poured in through the church windows dancing sunbeams onto the royal blue carpet that leads the eye up the aisle to the spectacular blue screen behind the altar.

Fabulous Wedding Photos @ Holy Well & Sligo Abbey
The first stop on the way to the Radisson Blu Sligo was at Tobernalt Holy Well. Just at the entrance the stream tumbles across a small weir before bubbling beneath a low arched footbridge. A wonderland carpeted in crunchy copper leaves and dappled sunshine lighting up the yellow canopy above framing the happy couple. On to a quick stop along Lough Gill where the smooth surface of the water mirrored the ethereal autumn landscape and a magical moment as a pair of swans passed with their four cygnets. And there was to be more fantastic photos as the wedding party also visited Sligo Abbey. This wonderfully well maintained structure offers so many superb backdrops for wedding photographs. High arches and dramatic perspectives along with some of the most attractive cloisters in Ireland are perfect for creating fantastic imagery for wedding albums. At The Radisson Blu in Sligo where Jessica and Michael celebrated their wedding there was more special touches to the day. Instead of a Candy cart the couple had had a delicious display of home cooked treats with names like ‘Aunt Heather’s Rocky Road’, ‘Mars Bar Squares’ and ‘Kay’s Chocolate Toffee Pops’….. very yummy and much appreciated.
