The ‘pièce de résistance’ from the winners of
Wedding Florist of the Year Award 2016 : ‘La Belle Fleur’
The day we had all being waiting for, the 3rd September 2016 and Carmel and Alan’s wedding day. When one of the Top Florist’s in the country’s wedding day arrives you just know it is going to be an extra special treat for your camera. Lough Rynn, an extraordinary venue, with lots of personal context; the Groom’s party in Black tie; a perfect dress for a castle wedding; gorgeous red soled sparkly shoes and then there were the Flowers. Lots and lots of fabulous flowers, the centre piece being the beautiful signature, deep pink butterfly orchid of La Belle Fleur. The church door was decorated with an abundant arch of pink hydrangea and roses; setting the scene for what was to come. Cleverly set back from the edge of the aisle, scattered cherry blossom trees led the eye towards the altar while on every other pew hung a large single pink head of hydrangea. Simple white urns, sat high upon white plinths, full of hydrangea, roses and orchids with a spike of gladioli bursting majestically from each centre. A lush altar piece continued the theme. A fantastic display, perfectly balanced to suit the church at Drumcong without ever over powering it.

An Incredible Set of Wedding Photos @ Lough Rynn Castle
Carmel and Alan enjoyed using everything that Lough Rynn has to offer within its grounds for photography. And it’s a lot! So many spectacular wedding photo opportunities…along the lawns overlooking the lake…on stone steps between terraces of the walled garden… fountains…arbours…the most romantic turret (with Romeo and Juliet balcony)… gentle wooded pathways to wander… lakeshore…the red oriental bridge over a formal pool or a textured metal bridge across a serene, reflective canal surrounded by dramatic greenery…and more. And then there was still the Castle itself to explore. The Baronial Hall and the exquisite oak panelling are always a favourite for wedding photography. But, as only floral artists like Carmel and Helena could dream up, there were more surprises to come. The glazed corridor, leading down to the function suites, was delightfully decorated with pink hydrangea and tall candle lit lanterns and at the end the walkway was the ‘pièce de résistance’ from the winners of Wedding Florist of the Year Award 2016: ‘La Belle Fleur’ . A stunning Floral Wall of White Roses dramatically emphasised with atmospheric up-lighting. A Floral wall is a spectacular statement piece creating a unique backdrop for wedding photographs. The 3rd September was a truly amazing day for us as photographers but also a very special day of celebration for Carmel & Alan and their family and friends. And Lough Rynn Castle the perfect place for it.
