Sunshine and Kilts at Kilronan Castle combine to ensure magical wedding photographs
Sunshine and Kilts at Kilronan Castle combine to ensure magical wedding photographs. Staying at the castle the night before their wedding allowed for a luxurious and relaxed morning of preparation for Dee and Mark. For wedding photographer Jim Schofield their decision to have a drinks reception before their ceremony meant wonderful opportunity to capture social and personal of all the guests. But come 3pm the Palm Court was tingling with anticipation as first Mark accompanied by his daughter made their entrance up the aisle. Then sisters, brothers, sons and daughters and mum came up the aisle to their seats adding an extra touch of ceremony to the proceedings. But it is always the Bride everyone is waiting to see and the arrival of Dee in a fabulous sequined dress and accompanied by her daughter caused delightful emotions to be captured in the wedding photos.

Wedding Photography for a civil ceremony at Kilronan Castle
The Palm Court in Kilronan Castle offers a delightfully bright space and yet is full of character and elegance. Coats of Arms on the cut limestone walls and magnificent chandeliers hanging from high ceilings ensure a sense of grandeur while Kilronan Castle also adds a comfortable human scale and intimacy to any occasion. A wonderful location to take wedding photographs. After Dee and Mark’s wedding ceremony everyone gathered on the patio and lawns beyond the Dungeon Bar. Lots of sheltered space for everyone to celebrate and lots of wedding photo opportunity as the couple mingled with their guests. The ladies held large inflatable champagne bottles aloft as a guard of honour while the guys had wonderful giant playing cards. Aces High!
